Joe Curley Sr. 67, was a graduate of Akron North High School. While there he played football, basketball, ran track also high-jump. He played for the South Rangers while attending Central State University. 

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Bessie Curley; brothers, James T. Curley and Earl Jean Curley.

Joe leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Ditra Curley; daughter; LaTashia (Kendall), sons; Joe (Myeshia) and Asa (Natasha), grandchildren; Sapphyre, David, Keontye, Jayden, Jataveon, Makayla, Sameer. Six great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
