Sheryl L. Hoyt Dawson, 60, went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2016 after a long struggle with Liver disease. She was born July 3, 1956 in Akron and attended North High School. If you needed a place to stay or food to eat, whether she knew you or not, you were always welcomed into Shery’s home.  Her fun was in a line and a hook on any river bank! She was loved and loved her family and her pets.  Shery will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Shery was preceded in death by her brother, Michael. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Danny; son, Dustin (Karen) Schaffer; daughter, Windy Schaffer; father, John Guzzetta; mother, Frances Chapman; brothers, Jim Hoyt and Chris Hoyt; sister, Connie Hornbeck; grandchildren, Dustin Schaffer Jr. and Coree Ullman; her Uncle Jimmy Chapman; and mother-in-law, Leah Dawson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Knights of Columbus,  70 North VanBuren Ave., Barberton, OH 44203 in memory of Sheryl.
