Terry B. Woody, 55 years, passed away May 10, 2011 after a battle with cancer that he bravely fought to his last breath.

He was a kind, gentle soul with a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Mogadore VFW Post #8487. He was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed music. He was a supporter of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and his favorite places away from home were Las Vegas and Sarasota, Florida. He was especially fond of the SKC Dog Track (5-6-8).

Preceded in death by his parents, Priscilla and Darius, he is survived by his wife, Jackie; sister, Carol (Gene) Cogar; brothers, Bob (Sheilla) Nunnelley and Dennis (Kathy) Rick; nephew, Bobby Nunnelley; niece, Shelley Sutula; and many other family members.

Funeral service will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor Michael Shaub officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Friends may call at the funeral home 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
