William S. Kaiser, 55, passed away peacefully August 13, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit at City Hospital, from complications due to lung cancer. 

Bill was born in Akron and lived most of his life in the Akron area. He was graduated from North High School and went on to pursue his love of art at the University of Akron. Bill was a jack of all trades (which he learned from his dad, ``Dude') and helped his family and friends whenever he was needed. He loved painting the ocean and landscapes. His hobbies included his knife collection and anything to do with science fiction. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, ``Dude' and Mary Kathryn Kaiser. Bill is survived by his son, Scott Kaiser of S. Carolina; brother, Jim (Michele) Kaiser of Akron; sisters, Sue (Larry) Leiby of Akron, Nancy Cope of Cuyahoga Falls, Mary (Jim) Cea of Tallmadge; nephews, Eric (Denise) Green, Lewis Leiby; nieces, Jamie (Pete) Worthington and Janelle (Mark) Cuva; great nieces and nephews, Kassara, Kaiser, Evie, Sophie, Olivia, Nick, Sonny and Nina. 

Calling Hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Hennessy Funeral Home (corner of York and Main) 552 N. Main St., Akron. Private Interment will be held later. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.
