Beverly Beck

Beverly Jean (Beck) Lee, age 57, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. She was born March 11, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, the fifth child born to the union of James Sr. and Estella Beck. She was adopted by Calvin and Rebecca Studavent and brought to Akron at the age of nine months. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. A.L. Dykes at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She attended school in the Akron Public School System, graduating from North High School in 1974. She served in the U.S. Air Force.

Early employment was in the field of Medical Transcription followed by service at the Cuyahoga County Welfare Department. She retired from Allstate Insurance Company in Hudson, Ohio as a Claims Specialist.

She was united in marriage to George Terrence Lee III and this union produced three children - Terrina Renee' Lee, Terry Demario Lee, Toynika Angelica Lee.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terrina Renee'; all her parents; brother, James Beck Jr.; and sister, Deborah Scates.

She leaves to celebrate her life and homegoing - devoted companion, John Rodgers; son, Terry Demario Lee; daughter, Toynika Angelica Lee; grandchildren, Demario Lee, Ayonna Worley, and Ahmad Worley of Akron; other grandchildren, Correon Jackson and Tajae Jackson of Cleveland; brothers, Thomas Beck and Terry Beck of Detroit; adopted brother and sisters, John Curry Jr., Lillie Hyde, Joezette Melton, Viola Bickley and Carolyn Bell; uncle, George Campbell of Detroit; aunt, Elizabeth Campbell of Akron; father of her children, George Lee III; and mother-in-law, Lilyan Smith, both of Akron; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave. Friends may call at the chapel on Friday from 12 noon until time of service. Interment at Mt.
